The free plan, your DM quota, and going viral

What counts

One delivered DM = one unit of quota. Comment replies never count — they're unlimited on every plan. Follow-ups and Replay sends count like any other DM. The meter resets on the 1st of each month; unused DMs don't roll over.

What happens at 1,000

Nothing punitive. Your comment replies keep going out, and every DM past the limit is queued safely — you'll see them as "waiting" with a count on your dashboard. They are not lost.

• Upgrade to Pro → the queue starts draining immediately, oldest first. Anything still inside Instagram's messaging windows sends; anything past the 7-day reply window is marked skipped (we never send outside the window).
• Don't upgrade → queued DMs expire as Instagram's 7-day reply window closes on each comment. A viral spike is rescuable for about a week — after that, no tool can message those commenters.

Reading the meter

The dashboard bar shifts color at 80% so a viral week never surprises you. If you have notifications on, we'll nudge you once at 80% and once at 100% — never more.
