How do these fonts work on Instagram?
They are not fonts — they are unicode characters that look like styled letters. Because they are plain text, they paste anywhere: bios, captions, comments, DMs.
Will every style show on every phone?
The common styles (bold, italic, script, monospace) render almost everywhere. A few exotic ones can show as boxes on very old devices — preview is exactly what followers see.
Do styled letters hurt accessibility or reach?
Screen readers struggle with heavy unicode styling, so use it for accents — a name, one line — not whole captions. There is no evidence Instagram ranks it down.
